Conducting

As a conductor and artistic leader, Drew is passionate about collaboration, new music and creating a joyful music-making experience. She co-founded C3LA: The Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles, a collectively run ensemble performing new choral music and providing a venue for multi-talented singer-composers/singer-conductors to collaborate. She composes, conducts and sings with the ensemble, as well as serving on their board of directors.

She serves Artistic Director of the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC), where she is dedicated to building community through music as well as nurturing the next generation of conductors through the mentorship program she established, the Alexander Ruggieri Conducting Fellowship. Drew has also facilitated creative collaborations across artistic disciplines, bringing together musicians, instrumentalists, and dancers to explore new possibilities in performance.

At the core of Drew’s conducting philosophy is the belief that making music should be focused on joy. She strives to create environments where singers feel inspired, connected, and joyful making music together!
